Why We’re Creating a Kids Golf Bag for Ages 3–5

At Drake & Birdie, our mission is to make golf fun and accessible for kids at the very start of their journey. We’re currently testing samples and working on a modern, lightweight kids golf bag designed specifically for little golfers ages 3–5.

The challenge? Creating something affordable, functional, and stylish, without the unnecessary extras found in adult golf bags. Here’s what we’re focused on as we refine the design.

Why Budget-Friendly Matters

Let’s face it: kids grow fast. A golf bag that fits a 3-year-old today won’t last them forever. Parents shouldn’t have to spend $100 or more on a junior golf bag that will only hold a few clubs and won’t see the same wear and tear as an adult bag.

That’s why our design focuses on affordability without sacrificing quality. We want parents to feel good about investing in a bag that helps their kids enjoy the game without breaking the bank.

Why We Chose a Stand Bag Design

Most 3–5 year olds aren’t walking full rounds of golf. Their bag will spend time next to the practice green, on the range, or in the backyard. But that doesn’t mean it should be tossed on the ground every time.

A stand bag design makes it easier for kids to place their bag down and keep it upright, giving them a sense of independence while keeping their gear clean and organized.

Why Modern and Lightweight?

Just because it’s made for kids doesn’t mean it should look outdated. We’re committed to a design that is:

- Stylish & modern – A polished look kids will be proud to carry.

- Lightweight & functional – Easy to carry and not overloaded with unnecessary features.

- Simplified for beginners – No need for rangefinder holders, 14 dividers, or extra pockets. Just room for a few clubs, tees, and balls.

By focusing on simplicity, style, and practicality, we’re building a golf bag that encourages kids to fall in love with the game and makes life easier for parents, too.

What’s Next for the Kids Golf Bag Project

We’re continuing to test samples and refine materials to strike the perfect balance of quality and price. Our goal is to deliver a durable, budget-friendly kids' stand bag that helps children start their golf journey the right way.
